Aeonium arboreum ‘Schwarzkopf’, widely known as the Black Rose Aeonium, is one of the most popular Aeonium varieties. Its dramatic rosettes develop the deep, near-black colouring that makes this succulent such a distinctive addition to a collection.
Seasonal colour
During winter, when daylight levels are lower, the centre of each rosette can appear noticeably greener. As light levels increase, the foliage develops its characteristic dark Black Rose colouring, like the plants shown in our photographs.
